ForgeWorld Spotlight- Keith Robertson

ForgeWorld newsletter has come out with a new weekly model for us. Again something along the lines of the new Chaos Dwarf stuff. This week since it was only one model release like last week I thought it would be great to do another spotlight on the model designer. So this week the new model was designed by Keith Robertson. First though lets take a look at the new model.

"The terrifying Dreadquake Mortar is amongst the largest and most devastating of the siege engines fielded by the Dwai Zharr. Akin to the bombards used by other races, the Dreadquake Mortar uses a vast boiler to generate steam pressure to fire its munitions. The sorcerous energies bound within these immense, volatile shells explode on impact, striking the battlefield like a hammer blow and causing untold devastation"

The model is pretty sharp but now let's take a look at some of Keith's other work.

"Plague Ogres are vile and malformed hulks: their natural resistance to mutation is completely overcome by the pox-ridden favours of their foul patron. A set of three resin multi-part Plague Ogres."

"The current commander of the Nuln Ironsides is Jubal Falk, an engineer with a flair for tactical matters who many consider destined to become Guildmaster of the Gunnery School. Falk’s natural talents and dogged enforcement of strict discipline have earned him an honourable reputation, and he is well-respected by his men both for his skills as a battlefield engineer and as their leader."

"The ‘Ironsides’ are drawn from the guards and apprentices of the renowned Imperial Gunnery School. Clad in heavy armour and armed with master-wrought firearms, the Nuln Ironsides are one of the most widely respected and well equipped Handgunner regiments in the Empire. The Nuln Ironsides Handgunner conversion Kit contains ten resin Handgunner figures wearing heavy armour and is designed to be used with the plastic Empire Handgunner weapons. This is ideal for Detachments, as it allows modellers to build twenty missile troops (ten Crossbowmen and ten fully armoured Nuln Ironsides) using a single plastic kit and this finely detailed resin conversion kit."

These kits all have good detail and it says that he has just finished work on some other unnamed kits which make me wonder how much stuff Forgeworld has up its sleeve waiting to be released? All images and rights are Forgeworld's of course more info can be found at their site.
